UNSX was a collection designed around solving a problem. The more people I meet in my life I realise the pressures there are to conform. It struck me that when someone walks into a clothing store they have to make the decision whether they are male or female. While this may not be a issue for a lot of us, it is something that can alienate people.
Therefore I decided to create a unisex range. This range is not designed to be androgynous, but rather to be a collection that fits and flatters lots of body shapes with the ability to be manipulated and styled in different ways. I feel this also makes each garment different for each customer.
I developed my own prints within this using stereotypically gender defined objects to create shapes for a repeat print, challenging the forms that are pushed on to people from a young age.
